(Virtual) Workshop – Learning About Self Talk and Coping Skills For Middle School Students
September 28 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pmFree
How do you talk to yourself? How do you help yourself manage overwhelming emotions? Based on Francesca Reicherter’s books, “You Are Not Alone: The Workbook” and “I AM,” the “Learning About Self-Talk and Coping Skills” Workshop is designed to help you gain confidence in yourself and discover ways to comfort yourself through difficult times. As your presenter, Francesca will walk you through reframing negative thoughts to positive thoughts and building positive self-talk before helping you identify coping skills that work best for you and your specific needs.
This workshop is restricted to grades 6-8. This workshop is intended to be interactive between children and their parent, caregiver, legal guardian, or trusted adult; therefore, one must be in attendance with the school-aged participant. Each registered attendee will receive a free downloadable worksheet packet to follow along with the presentation, complete practice exercises, and keep as a resource.
